CHAMBER CONNECTION
Monthly Meeting Recap – May 27, 2026
Introduction
Thank you to everyone who joined us at our May General Membership Meeting hosted by the American Legion Post 303 and catered by Mother Kelly's. For members who could not attend, here is a brief update on what was discussed. We generally get 50 – 60 members attending the monthly meeting and we hope by doing a monthly recap, it will help to keep the rest of our members updated. This will also be posted under Member Resources tab on the Website.
Chamber Update
Ed Asip provided an update on several key Chamber initiatives:
• Continued membership growth and engagement efforts
• Plans to strengthen Chamber administrative support
• Increased collaboration with RVC service organizations and non-profit community partners: Service Organizations Consortium Invitation

Part-Time Chamber Administrator Search
The Chamber is actively seeking a part-time Administrator to help support membership renewals, dues collection, member communications, database management, and event coordination. This position is intended to improve member services and provide operational continuity as the Chamber continues to grow.

• Installation of planters, soil, and initial plantings at participating businesses
• Ongoing efforts to restore the charm and appearance of our business districts
• Continued collaboration supported by the Chamber's recent $10,000 contribution to beautification efforts throughout the Village
The Chamber shared its vision for developing future leaders through:
• Committee participation
• The Street Captain Program
• Leadership opportunities through Chamber events
The goal is to create a leadership pipeline that helps members progress from participation to future Board leadership while strengthening long-term organizational stability.

Meeting materials, updates, event information, membership resources, and Chamber news can be found on the Chamber website and Social Media.
We encourage all members to stay involved, attend events when possible, volunteer for a committee, and help us continue building a stronger business community in Rockville Centre.
Thank you for your continued support of the Rockville Centre Chamber of Commerce.
