Dear Community Leader,
Recently, representatives from several Rockville Centre volunteer service organizations have begun meetings to explore ways we can better coordinate, share resources, and strengthen our collective impact within our community. Organizations currently represented in these initial discussions include:
-
RVC Civic Association
-
RVC Lions & RVC Lions of the Woods
-
RVC Knights of Columbus
-
RVC Chamber of Commerce
-
RVC Odd Fellows
-
RVC Hispanic Brotherhood
Together, we identified a clear opportunity: Rockville Centre has a remarkable number of service and charitable organizations doing important work — yet there is no comprehensive master list or coordinated forum for communication and collaboration.
Therefore, we would like to invite you to attend our Inaugural RVC Community Connections Night on June 18th, 6:00pm at Centre Station. The objective of our Community Connections night is simply to provide an opportunity for networking among other RVC-based organizations and determine if there is a real interest/need for related efforts going forward.
Please RSVP if you plan to attend by June 8th, 2026. Note, as no formal organizational funding will be provided, this event is intended as an informal “self-pay happy hour.”
In the interim, we will also be using this email chain to begin building a Master List of all Service and/or Charitable Organizations operating in Rockville Centre, with simple goals:
-
Ensuring no organization is unintentionally left out
-
Improving communication and awareness, along with reducing duplication of effort
-
Exploring opportunities for shared initiatives and collaborative fundraising
-
Strengthening overall impact of service in our community
Please note, these efforts are not about creating a new governing body or replacing any organization’s mission. It is about collaboration over competition and building a stronger, more connected RVC. Rockville Centre thrives because of the leadership and generosity of its service organizations. We believe that by working together, we can amplify that impact.
On behalf of all of us, thank you for your continued dedication to the Rockville Centre community, and we hope to see you on June 18th.
